44 - Federal Perkins Loan Default Clearance Letter

You must provide a letter stating that you are no longer in default of a Federal Perkins Loan because you have either paid the loan in full or you have made six (6) consecutive, full, voluntary payments on time. You are not eligible to receive any federal student aid until your default has been resolved. You may access nslds.ed.gov using your Department of Education Federal PIN to determine the contact information regarding your default(s) of federal student loan(s).
