45 - Selective Service Card or Exemption Letter

The Selective Service reported that you have not registered with them. If you are female or were born before 1960, registration is not required. Otherwise, if you are not registered, are male, and are 18 through 25 years of age, you must do the following to receive aid: on the FAFSA, answer “male” to Question 21, and if not currently registered with Selective Service, follow the instructions in Question 22 at fafsa.ed.gov, OR, you may complete a Selective Service registration form at your local post office, OR, you may register online at www.sss.gov. If you believe you have already registered or are exempt, please contact Selective Service at 847-688-6888 or submit proof of your Selective Service exemption or registration status to Student Academic Records & Financial Services.
