About the “U” checkstop/hold...
The “U” checkstop/hold is placed on the accounts of all new (domestic) undergraduate students. The purpose of the checkstop/hold is to ensure that all new undergraduate students receive required information about the University at Buffalo. Upon attending orientation and receiving all required materials, the “U” checkstop/hold is automatically removed from the student’s account.
“U” checkstop/hold does NOT prevent summer registration.
