About the “Z” checkstop/hold...
The “Z” checkstop/hold is placed on each incoming international student’s account to ensure that s/he attends the mandatory immigration session at UB’s International Student Orientation. If a student cannot attend the immigration session during UB’s International Student Orientation, then s/he will need to attend a make-up session. Students who need to attend a make-up session should go to UB’s International Student & Scholar Services, 210 Talbert Hall, North Campus.
“Z” checkstops/holds do NOT prevent summer registration.
