Registration Instructions for Non-UB Undergraduate Students

(Note: See instructions for Non-UB Graduate Students below.)

If you are not currently a UB student, submit the required student information and then register via a touchtone telephone*. Here’s how:

  1. Complete the online Summer Sessions Data Form (undergraduate students).
  2. Read the instructions for First-time BIRD users.
  3. Print the BIRD worksheet (PDF) and complete it with the registration numbers of the Summer Sessions courses you intend to enroll.
  4. After submitting your Summer Session Data Form, you may register the next business day after 12:00 p.m. using BIRD at 645-7800. (Summer Sessions registration begins Wednesday, March 18).
  5. Remember, you are financially and academically liable for every course in which you register, even if you never attend it. Register for Summer Sessions early, but make sure you call BIRD to drop the courses before they begin if you decide not to attend.

* UB offers Web Registration, but as a Non-UB student, you may not have the required UBit Name for Web Reg at the time of your initial registration. After you receive a UBit Name, check out MyUB to register and access other student services.

Registration Instructions for Non-UB Graduate Students

  1. Review UB graduate programs. (Check with the Graduate Academic Program to see if non-matriculated student status is available.)
  2. Review graduate non-matriculated student attendance policy.
  3. Read the instructions for First-time BIRD users.
  4. Print the BIRD worksheet (PDF) and complete it with the registration numbers of the Summer Sessions courses you intend to enroll.
  5. After completing the initial process identified by the specific graduate program, wait 24 hours and then use BIRD* at 645-7800 to register for courses.
  6. Remember, you are financially and academically liable for every course in which you register, even if you never attend it. Register for Summer Sessions early, but make sure you call BIRD to drop the courses before they begin if you decide not to attend.
