Direct Deposit Your Financial Aid Refunds

You may have your financial aid refunds deposited directly into your bank account. If you complete the Direct Deposit Authorization Form and submit it to Student Academic Records & Financial Services at least three weeks prior to disbursement of your financial aid, it will be automatically deposited into your checking or savings account at any U.S. bank you choose. Here are the advantages for you:

  • There is no risk of your check being lost or stolen in the mail
  • You don't have to go to the bank to cash or deposit it
  • Funds for direct deposit participants will be available within 48 hours of disbursement

To Establish Direct Deposit:

  1. If you have not already done so, establish a U.S. checking or savings account at any financial institution that is a member of the Automated Clearing House and which chooses to participate in the direct deposit program.
  2. Complete the Direct Deposit Authorization Form, and mail it to Student Academic Records & Financial Services, 232 Capen Hall, University at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY 14260.

To Change or Cancel Direct Deposit Authorization:

Use the Direct Direct Deposit Authorization Form and complete the relevant portions.
